Electrical Engineer – Omaha, Nebraska

Farris Engineering, an innovative Mechanical and Electrical consulting engineering firm, needs an energetic, talented electrical engineer to work in our Omaha, NE office.

Job Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for designing an array of systems such as: electrical distribution, lighting, and communication systems for various types of projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • electrical system layout
  • writing/editing specifications
  • review of shop drawings
  • selecting equipment for electrical power and lighting, fire alarm systems, and communication systems
  • This position requires an individual who can provide the utmost in accuracy of all technical work and correspondence and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the design team.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or closely related degree required
  • Professional Registration PE required to hire
    6+ years electrical design experience in a Consulting or A/E firm
