REVIT Designer/Drafter - Omaha, Nebraska

Farris Engineering, a well recognized leader throughout the Midwest for its high level of expertise in Mechanical and Electrical engineering is currently seeking an energetic and self-motivated REVIT Designer/Drafter to be based in our Omaha, Nebraska office. This position offers a mid-sized office atmosphere with endless advancement opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the mechanical and/or electrical REVIT drafting for various types of buildings including commercial, industrial, institutional, and healthcare. Much of the work included in this position requires the ability to perform layouts and work under the supervision of a licensed engineer.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • REVIT based project design
  • Review of shop drawings

This position requires an individual who can provide the utmost in accuracy of all technical work and correspondence and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the design team and our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of REVIT design software
  • 3 years minimum design experience in a Consulting or A/E firm
  • Strong knowledge of relevant systems and codes
  • Ability to self-direct and prioritize to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with clients
  • Strong computer skills: Autodesk REVIT, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
